Green tea effective against colon cancer Category: Medical Studies Version: 1.3 Last modified: 06/30/2007 18:50 PST The study reviewed here was published in February of 2006 in Molecular Carcinogenesis titled, "Green tea polyphenol (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 expression in colon carcinogenesis". The results of the study show that green tea's cancer fighting compound, EGCG, was effective in slowing the growth of and killing human colon cancer cells. References:
