Green tea: $390 million, 219,000 tons (up 18% from 2005)
Oolong tea: 21,000 tons (up 15% from 2005)
Black tea: 31,500 tons (up 6.3% from 2005)

China was the second largest tea producer for the year, producing 25% of the world production total.

Major trade partners:

The major importers of Chinese tea in 2006 were Morocco, the United States, Russia, and Japan.
